Developing a study abroad program is a significant investment of time and energy. It’s important to implement a process of program review (3 to 5 year cycle) that includes a number of perspectives from ensuring the quality of academics to the addressing the safety and security risks of the program location.
Program review may be initiated at the request of an individual program leader, an academic unit, academic college, or other institutional body and should take into consideration the best approach to meet the desired objectives of the initiating organization.
The Office of Study Abroad can serve as a resource in the review process and presents the following document as an optional outline that can be used in addressing a variety of topics.
