Internships

Undertaking an internship is a great way to experience another side of American culture while adding valuable skills and knowledge to your resume. Internships can help you to explore areas of career interest and expand your international networks in your future professional field. The experience also gives you an opportunity to apply the knowledge you have gained from your universities studies to a real world context.

The American Semester program offers participants to undertake an internship in the summer or semester following their semester of coursework at MSU. Internship placements in San Francisco and New York will allow you to complete your American experience in a famous business and cultural center. Each intern is placed through an individual matching process and comprehensive support is provided through orientation, coaching and evaluation of the internship.

The American Semester internship program is an academic program, meaning that internships earn credit, and a transcript is provided at the completion of the program. All internships are unpaid.
